Hrazdan The Donmar Warehouse broke records on May 7 2015 with over 550,000 people watching James Graham’s play The Vote live on the night, set in a fictional London polling station, live on the night of the general election. The Vote starred Judi Dench, Catherine Tate and Mark Gatiss among the 50-strong cast and was shown in real time, between 8.30pm and 10pm, as the polls across the UK closed.

With the Ham Yard Hotel and cinema providing a suitably stylish backdrop , the programme was set for an exciting night – no matter the results!

Activities included live sets from the Ronnie Scott’s All Stars; a DIY photo booth; and our very own ‘student forum’ where real-time election data was crunched, mapped and interpreted by our resident experts from UCL.
