DONMAR WAREHOUSE

basics The Donmar Warehouse broke records on May 7 2015 with over 550,000 people watching James Graham’s play The Vote live on the night, set in a fictional London polling station, live on the night of the general election.  The Vote starred Judi Dench, Catherine Tate and Mark Gatiss among the 50-strong cast and was shown in real time, between 8.30pm and 10pm, as the polls across the UK closed.

click Critical to the event’s success was how we shaped the different peaks and flows – providing guests with a varied menu, opportunity to engage with the developing political broadcast, and space to relax in each other’s company.  Activities included live sets from the Ronnie Scott’s All Stars; a DIY photo booth; and our very own ‘student forum’ where real-time election data was crunched, mapped and interpreted by our resident experts from UCL.
